Emmett for You

What is the Emmett Technique?

The Emmett technique is a unique body therapy created by Ross Emmett. This technique has been shown to ease pain and discomfort, increase movement and improve quality of life. The Emmett Technique can be used alone or alongside any other bodywork therapy to enhance its outcome.

Emmett centres upon applying...

  • the right amount of pressure
  • in the right direction
  • for the right amount of time

The pressure required to stimulate the Emmett points does not need to be firm or painful!

How does the Emmett Technique work?

It involves the application of light finger pressure to specific points referred to as “Emmett Points” which stimulate the body’s ability to change muscle tension and action. This stimulation is registered by the nervous system and the brain responds by sending new instructions back through the body.  An Emmett treatment takes between 20 - 40 minutes.

After treatment, many clients notice dramatic changes in flexibility, pain levels, balance, breathing and range of movement depending upon the areas worked.

I have been getting Emmett from Wendy, for a while now, she treats various aches and pains, and every time I am surprised at how great and pain free I feel, Wendy is amazing!!!!

I am so happy that I met Wendy, who, introduced me to Emmett Therapy. Wendy has realigned my left hip which has been out of place for more than twelve years, the result of a nasty fall. Wendy recommended Emmett Lymphatic drainage treatment. After two sessions my swollen ankles have gone and I have a flat stomach. I now feel rejuvenated. I can highly recommend the treatments that Wendy can give. I know Wendy will be able to help many people feel much better when she returns to her Native Land Australia. She will be missed in Aberdeen.
